What is the Mens Adventure Vest?
Fjallraven has teamed up with the legendary cycling brand Specialized to create a range of stylish, versatile products made by riders, for riders.
The Mens Adventure Vest is a light and packable vest that's optimised for biking. Suitable for lightweight protection from the elements in warmer climates, it's a great piece of backup gear for both adventurous trails and urban rides.
What is it made from?
The upper torso is made from Fjallraven's HC-Lite fabric, offering wind resistance without any unnecessary weight. This HC-Lite fabric is made from organic cotton and polyamide for a quick-drying and durable finish.
The back and lower torso is made from recycled polyester, for breathability and comfort whilst riding. This recycled polyester comes from plastic PET bottles, unusable second-quality fabrics and fabric offcuts, making it a more sustainable choice.
What are its features?
The Adventure Vest's upper torso is reinforced with Fjallraven's HC-Lite fabric to provide wind-resistance where it's most needed. This panel can also be adapted with Greenland Wax for higher wind and water resistance, if required. The wax can be washed out, giving you the flexibility to create seasonal weather protection without hindering the vests breathability.
This practical and stylish vest features a high-low hem with an elastic back for a more comfortable riding fit. The armholes are also elasticated to keep the vest close to the body, reducing unwanted heat loss.
A total of four pockets provide plenty of space for your phone, wallet, keys and your favourite on-the-bike snacks. Two top-loading chest pockets, one zipped and one with a snap button, provide easy access whilst riding. The two lower pockets are zipped, so there's no need to worry about your keys falling out of your pocket mid-ride.
This Adventure Vest can easily be packed into its own pocket, allowing it to be stored in an easy-to-reach bike pack for when it's needed. It's lightweight design adds only 142g to your kit, making it an excellent choice for your bikepacking adventures.
