What is the Nano-Air® Ultralight Pullover?
It's a super lightweight, insulated pullover jacket designed for intense and high-output activities such as trail running, fastpacking, hiking, and biking. It provides sufficient warmth to cover the shoulders when working hard and is ideal for adventuring in shoulder seasons and winter.
What is it made of?
100% recycled polyester ripstop shell and lining material provide ample flexibility, breathability, and abrasion resistance for regular use in rugged terrain.
Lightweight, breathable, and stretchy FullRange® insulation is placed in the hood, shoulders, upper arms, chest, and back to provide featherlight warmth where it's needed most. FullRange® is a synthetic insulation that is robust, warm, and packable. It is made with 100% recycled polyester, keeping valuable materials in the loop instead of using newly sourced resources. Synthetic insulation also has the added benefit of retaining warmth when wet, so if you get caught in a brief shower, you won't be left feeling cold and soggy for the rest of your outing.
The jacket's lower arm panels are made with Capilene Cool® material, a 100% recycled polyester double knit with a moisture-wicking finish that helps regulate temperature.
The outer material is impregnated with a PFC/PFAS-free durable water repellent (DWR), which adds water resistance and encourages light rain and snow to bead away.
PFCs and PFAS chemical compounds used in earlier DWRs can't 'break down', so once they reach nature (usually via water waste from factories), they stay in the environment and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. These compounds are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect reproduction and hormone production in mammals. For these reasons, many brands are now using PFC-free alternatives to reduce the impact manufacturing has on our beautiful planet.
This product is also made in a Fair Trade Certified Factory™, giving Patagonia more control of the operations in the factories they choose to work with. Patagonia proudly offers more Fair Trade styles than any other apparel brand in the current market. But how does it work? The brand pays a premium for every item made in one of these factories, and this money goes directly to the factory workers. A democratically elected committee of Fair Trade workers will decide how this extra money gets spent in each Fair Trade factory. The program also promotes worker health and safety and social and environmental compliance while encouraging healthier dialogue between workers and management.
