What are the Torque Mountain Pants?

What are they made from?
The Torque Mountain Pants use Matrix™ Fabric throughout, a specialised line of softshell fabric selected by Rab for its unique performance qualities. Matrix™ double-weave is a soft stretch fabric that blends polyamide and elastane to create an air-permeable fabric that breathes exceptionally well, keeping you cool while working hard. It's also wind-resistant and offers UPF protection to shield you from sun exposure, protecting you from the elements without hindering your range of movement. The trousers are lined with smooth recycled polyester fabric for added moisture-wicking capabilities.
The trousers are finished with a fluorocarbon-free durable water repellent (DWR). This water-repellent coating offers light protection against rain showers. However, it doesn't mean the material is fully waterproof. Using a fluorocarbon-free treatment is much more eco-friendly than regular treatments because they don't use chemicals harmful to the environment.
What are their features?
The Torque Mountain Pants have a part elasticated waist with a double snap waist closure and YKK® zipped fly.
The self-fabric belt loops are low profile, so they don't dig in as you move or get in the way of your climbing harness.
For storage, there are two pockets, one zipped hidden rear pocket and a zipped thigh pocket, perfect for tucking away small essentials like a mobile phone, GPS, energy gels or snack bars.
Each of the critical seams is reinforced for added durability, and the knees are articulated to provide better freedom of movement at the joints. A diamond gusset at the crotch helps to prevent any unfortunate trouser-ripping incidents when you're stepping up high.
Finally, at the bottom of each leg, you'll find a hem width adjuster with a YKK® zip and self-fabric gusset that allows the trousers to fit over chunky boots easily.
The Torque Mountain Pants feature Rab's 'regular' fit, meaning they sit close whilst still allowing space for airflow around the legs or a pair of long janes underneath during winter.
