What is the 9.5 Crag We Care Classic Rope?
It's a classic climbing rope with an environmentally responsible design, best suited to sport and classic climbing. Each rope sheath is made with leftover yarn, meaning they differ in colour and are completely individual.
What are its features?
The rope is PFC-free, meaning it does not contain or use any harmful forever chemicals during production.
Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs), commonly used to add water repellent to textiles, aren't able to break down, so once they reach nature via factory water waste, they stay in the ecosystem and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFCs are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect mammal reproduction and hormone production. Therefore, many leading brands in the outdoor industry are now prioritising cutting out the use of these chemicals entirely to contribute to a more responsible manufacturing process.
The sheath is constructed from 100% residual yarn, giving each rope an individual look while helping to prevent valuable, useable materials from going to waste.
Lastly, An abrasion-resistant centre mark helps you spot when your rope needs retiring and replacing, reducing the risk of accidents or injury.
