What are the Tomir 02 NN?
They're an updated version of Nnormal's highly durable and responsive Tomir 02 NN trail running shoes, which deliver excellent traction and stability to enhance your running experience.
The update comes in the form of a visual refresh, with a new lacing construction for enhanced comfort and abstract 'NN' logo on the outer heel.
Founded by world-renowned mountaineer and trail runner Kilian Jornet, Nnormal delivers timeless and functional gear that's built to last, helping reduce the need to replace running shoes as often and avoid overconsumption in the running industry.
What are they made from?
Outsole: The Tomir 02 NN uses a lightweight, highly durable and grippy Vibram compound called Litebase Megagrip. This outsole is ideal for all terrains, whether gravel and grass, sand and sun or roots and rock. This exceptionally grippy sole utilises Vibram's Litebase outsole technology to reduce the thickness of the sole by 50%, and the sole's weight by up to 30%, all without altering the stability of the lugs.
Speaking of lugs, the Tomir 02 NN uses Vibram's innovative Traction Lug technology with a 5mm lug depth to maximise propulsion and braking power. This clever sole pattern uses micro features to increase the surface area by 50% for better stability and improve traction by up to 25%. Like the rest of Vibram's sole, this rubber compound is also incredibly durable, allowing it to last longer and reduce the need to replace your shoes as often.
Upper: The shoe's upper is made from a unique blend of monofilament polyester and TPE. This highly durable upper is designed to be abrasion and snag-resistant for long-lasting protection on rugged trails. The upper has been craft-stitched to the midsole with a super strong 360 nylon thread, increasing the shoe's durability and preventing damage or splitting after lots of long miles on tough trails.
Midsole: The Tomir 02 NN combines Nnormal's EExpure midsole with a supercritical foam compound that boast's specialised geometry to enhance your running experience. This midsole is lighter and provides more cushioning, whilst the performance geometries provide outstanding responsiveness to conserve energy, allowing you to run further with less effort.
Footbed: NNormal has used an OrthoLite footbed for instant comfort and support for long training runs and races. The OrthoLite footbed features a unique open-cell structure to move moisture away from the foot, providing a cooler, drier, healthier shoe environment and to help keep your feet comfortable all day.
