What is the Eiger Nordwand ML Hybrid Hoodie?
It's a warm hybrid midlayer that offers the qualities of both a softshell and a fleece to amplify warmth, durability and breathability. The Eiger Nordwand ML Hybrid is the ideal fleece for stop-and-go adventures like climbing, mountaineering or even hiking long, steep peaks.
What is it made of?
The softshell outer of the fleece is made with Pertex® Quantum® Air. Pertex® Quantum Air creates a fine balance between wind resistance and breathability. It is engineered with increased permeability, which helps airflow through the fabric, resulting in regulated body temperature and increased overall comfort.
Gridded fleece panels are constructed with Pontetorto Technostretch, which comprises recycled polyester. Mammut has strategically placed these gridded panels in areas where more breathability is required, to maximise thermal efficiency while helping to prevent sweat build-up. Other panels are made with Polartec® Alpha® direct, which is denser, warmer, and doesn't have the gridded construction, amplifying heat in vital areas.
The softshell outer is coated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent), enhancing weather resistance without using harmful forever chemicals that cause permanent damage to our ecosystems. However, please note that DWR does not make a product waterproof.

What are its features?
The hood has an elastic border to cinch in material around the face, keeping in the warmth and making room to fit a climbing helmet over the top.
Two front zipper pockets are ideal for storing small essentials such as trail snacks, energy gels or gloves.
Pre-shaped sleeves provide freedom of movement where you need it most, making reaching for the next hold that little bit easier. The sleeves also come with integrated thumb loops that you can wear to help prevent the sleeve from riding up the arm, keeping it in place, even with layers over the top.
