What is it?The Farpoint has established itself as the go-to piece of luggage for travel adventures, and now it's more sustainable than ever. If you need something that can act as an organised suitcase and a practical rucksack for your trips away, the Farpoint should be at the top of your list.
What is it made of?The Farpoint uses bluesign approved, recycled materials throughout to provide you with a bag that's as tough as it is sustainable. These fabrics are used in different thicknesses depending on where Osprey anticipate the most wear occuring—450D polyester throughout the main body and 500D nylon in areas subject to more abuse. In the quest to be ever-more environmentally-responsible, Osprey have also ensured all water repellent coatings on the bag are free from harmful fluorocarbons.
What are its features? The feature that brought the Farpoint its notoriety is its stowaway harness system. With the harness tucked away, the bag acts as a traditional suitcase (with the exception of wheels), allowing you to carry it around briefcase-style via the handles. But, unzip the panel on the rear of the Farpoint and you'll find rucksack straps, a hipbelt and a sternum strap, allowing you to carry the bag across airports, cities and even on the trails.
Other features include extra-chunky zips to the main compartment that can be locked for additional security, internal and external compression straps to hold everything in place during transit, a large front pocket for items you need quick access to, an external zipped pocket for toiletries, an internal laptop sleeve (16"), a tablet sleeve and padded top and side handles for carrying the thing about.
